What is Heifer Project International? In 1999, Heifer Project International assisted more than 25,000 families through gifts of food and income producing animals (pigs, bees, chicks, heifers, etc.) and at least twice that number through animals passed on to other families. The families who receive this living gift are provided with the training to take care of it and they agree to pass on the offspring of this animal to another family in need.
|
|
| Whole communities are changed through your gifts. Along with training, HPI provides a female animal or starter flock to each family, and one or more male animals to the community for breeding purposes. Veterinary services, extension advice, and organization support ensure lasting benefits. |
