Inspired By God To Serve Every Generation!
"Partners in Sharing Christ's Love..."
This is how missionaries Ed & Audrey Carlson signed their recent letter to the Glade Run family. And isn't that what the mission field is all about--people helping people through finances, prayer, teaching, healing, loving each other in Christ's name?
David Diwan Masih is the general manager now of the Nirali Kitaben (publishers of the most successful literacy primers for adults for various Christian organizations) in Pakistan. Vincent David continues to capably carry out the literacy programs.
All Mothers Educated Now (AMEN) is one of the many ministries offered. Many women have become functionally literate due to this effort. Ed says, “I wish that you could come and visit the classes to see the hope and joy in these mothers’ faces as they read health booklets and Scripture for the first time. Their desire to help their children with schoolwork, improve the health of their family, and earn some extra income can become a reality.”
During their last few years in Pakistan, Audrey had the privilege of working with Ms. Zeb Zaman, a beautiful Christian and fine educationalist, in starting a new school for girls in the city of Lahore. The school, Kinnaird Academy, has a Christian environment and gives quality education to girls from Pre-school through 6th grade. Audrey is grateful for e-mail to keep in touch with Zeb and the progress of the school.
The Carlsons are thankful for your faithful support over their 35 years in Pakistan and for the ability to be a part of the educational mission around the world. Having retired, the Carlsons at present are working with 3 small Presbyterian churches in Slippery Rock called the Friendship Parish.
