VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

Vacation Bible School will be held this week.   This year’s theme is “He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands”.   If you did not pre-register, but would like to bring your child (children) to attend, you may register tomorrow morning before the days events begin.

 

BUILDING AND GROUNDS COMMITTEE

There will be a Building and Grounds Committee meeting on Monday, June 28, at 7:00pm.   All members of this committee are encouraged to attend.

CHURCH SOFTBALL TEAM

Glade Run’s softball team is in the midst of their season.   Their next game will be on Wednesday, June 23, at the Gospel Fellowship Church field   beginning at 6:30pm.   You are invited to come on out and root on the team!!!

SUMMER SUNDAY SCHOOL

Summer Sunday School is underway.   All children up to 5th grade will meet in the Kids’ Zone area (basement of sanctuary) at 9:50am.   Youth grades 6-12  will continue to meet in the youth room    There will be no Sunday School during the month of August.   Sunday School will resume on Rally Day, September 12.

 

SUMMER STEWARDSHIP

The summer vacation season is almost upon us.   What a busy time it can be!!   The stewardship committee would like to remind you that even though you may be away, we still count on everyone’s monetary support to keep our building operating, our staff working, and all our programs running throughout the summer.

 

RECIPES FOR COOKBOOK

The Adult Short Term Mission Committee which is collecting recipes for a taste-tempting cookbook has extended the deadline for submitting recipes.   You now have until Tuesday, June 22, to turn in your recipes.   Drop them off at the church office.

 

CROSSING BORDERS MINISTRIES

Once again, it’s time for the School Supply Drive.   These supplies will go to underprivileged children in Mexico.   The deadline is July 9.   Please see the insert in your bulletin for a list of supplies needed.

 

DEACONS & ELDERS SUMMER SCHEDULE

The Deacons will not meet again until September 13.   The Elders will meet on Tuesday, August 17.

 

DAILY DEVOTIONALS

The July/August issues of The Upper Room and the July/August/September issues of These Days are available at the back of the sanctuary and in the hallway between the sanctuary and Heritage Hall.

 

TUESDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY

The Tuesday morning men’s Bible study group that meets at King’s Restaurant will take a recess for the summer. The group will resume meeting in the fall.
